Emily Bittman

Dr. Emily Bittman earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University in Oregon, where she graduated with great distinction and served as the president of her school’s chapter of Beta Sigma Kappa, the international optometric honour society.

She completed clinical rotations at a range of diverse sites across North America, including the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Spokane and the Retina Institute of Hawaii.

Her areas of interest include ocular disease management and primary care. Emily’s approach combines clinical precision with a warm, approachable style that makes patient’s feel at ease.

Emily brings a global and community-minded perspective to eye care, shaped by her volunteer work with AMIGOS Eye Care and service trips to Costa Rica, rural Oregon, and outreach with underserved elementary school and unhoused populations. Originally from Melfort, Saskatchewan, Emily is excited to bring her patient centred and detail focused care to the Comox Valley community.

Outside the exam room, Emily is passionate about outdoor adventures and hobbies. Her favourites include trail running, backpacking, cross-country skiing, and surfing. She brings that same sense of energy and curiosity to her practice, helping patients to see clearly and live fully.
